Breweries of North Texas:

A Photographic Narrative

According to the Brewer's Association, there were eight craft breweries in the country in 1980. Today, there are more than 3,300, with 34 and counting in North Texas alone. Over the course of a year, I visited 24 breweries from Dallas to Fort Worth, Cedar Creek to Sherman, and Denton to Granbury, taking approximately 1,500 photographs along the way. Breweries of North Texas: A Photographic Narrative goes beyond beer; it explores a changing time in our country and a continued shift toward handmade and local products, and it provides a glimpse into the fascinating and unique culture of craft beer in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The images, all shot in 35mm black and white film, represent brewery owners who decided to pursue a dream, the patrons who love and support their products, and the unique spaces that bring them all together.
